KPA EtherCAT PCI Board

KPA PCI Interface board (EtherCAT slaves with PCI interface) integrates a PC into an EtherCAT network.

Hardware

  • ET1100 ASIC, no CPU for closer synchronization
  • Polling and IRQ-handling
  • 8 kByte PDO/SDO, 8 FMMUs, 8 Sync Managers
  • Transfer rate of 4,2 MByte/s
  • Two address switches for position independent addressing

Slave Stack

  • Support of multiple boards within one system
  • Various Operating Systems (OS):
    • INtime, Linux, RTX, QNX, Windows 7, xPCTarget
  • Several mailbox protocols:
    • CoE, EoE, FoE, SoE, VoE 
  • Distributed Clocks, SDO Complete Access

  • Automation, automotive test beds, simulation system, etc.
  • Start-up development kit for EtherCAT slave application under Windows XP with possibility to port then to target using the same Slave stack API (cross-platform development)
