EtherCAT Test Center (ETC)

Official Test and Certification of EtherCAT devices

The ETG has accredited official EtherCAT Test Centers (ETC) in Germany, Japan, China and North America. Further test centers in Europe, Asia and North America are intended. ETCs do not only perform the official EtherCAT Conformance Test, but also provide qualified feedback and implementation support for ETG members. Furthermore, ETCs provide facilities for the interoperability test. The offical ETCs are listed below.

Interoperability Test

This test is performed using a network with a diverse combination of EtherCAT devices. Such networks are maintained and constantly enhanced at the EtherCAT Test Centers. If a device passes both the official conformance test and the interoperability test at the EtherCAT Test Center, ETG issues the Conformance Certificate.

Conformance Certificate

Devices for which a Conformance Certificate has been issued are EtherCAT Conformance tested products. They may carry the official EtherCAT Conformance Tested Logo and they are marked accordingly in the EtherCAT Product Guide. EtherCAT users are encouraged to include the availability of the conformance test mark in their vendor and device selection process.

This logo shows that the device has been tested and certified by an offical accredited EtherCAT Test Center (ETC).
