Star Cutter Company Grinding Technologies Division, located in Elk Rapids, Mich., designs and manufactures solutions for CNC tool grinding that address custom or high-volume manufacturing applications and reconditioning of end mills, high performance drills, drill points, step drills, form tools, gear tools, broach tools, medical tools, inserts, and other custom tools. Star Cutter’s CNC machines incorporate cutting edge machine controls technology, including EtherCAT networking to acurately and efficiently communicate controls feedback and actuator signals throughout the machines. Use of EtherCAT networking minimizes the machine wiring needed to reduce material and build labor costs.
