Motion Controllers: MC3603 S ET
Motion Controller for microdrives
A new family member for the middle of the power range
Only when combined with the appropriate Motion Controller do micromotors become a reliably operating drive system. Therefore, in its comprehensive portfolio of motors, drive specialist FAULHABER offers a broad range of Motion Controllers that come in various power classes, with or without a housing, and are designed for a variety of different application areas. An additional housing-free family member is now being added: The MC 3603, which is particularly well suited for integration in toolbuilding and medical technology applications thanks to its compact dimensions. With 36 V und 3 A (peak current 9 A), the new Motion Controller covers the middle of the power range up to approx. 100 W. It is suitable for "normal" DC-motors, brushless drives and linear motors. It has the same I/O features and encoder interfaces as the other products in the family. USB, RS232, CANopen and EtherCAT are available for communication.
EMC-compliant design for all Motion Controllers
With the new MC 3603, the Motion Controllers now cover the full range of typical micromotor application areas (Figure 2), from the postage-stamp-sized MC 3001 with 30 W and 1 A (peak current 2 A), which was introduced back in spring 2021, to the MC V3.0 series, which is designed for mounting in switch cabinets and has proven to be particularly well suited to industrial applications. All of the Motion Controllers now comply with the current EMC regulations. The drive specialists have addressed this complex topic in depth. In addition to optimizing the hardware, the documentation has also been redesigned to provide users with the best possible support when it comes to certifying their own device.
