EtherCAT XMC4300 + XMC7200 System
This product is based on Infineon microcontrollers and Beckhoff EtherCAT communication technology, meeting customer standards for industrial microcontrollers, real‐time communication needs in industrial settings, and providing a user‐friendly industrial interface.
Industrial Microcontroller:
- Operates reliably under extreme conditions of temperature, humidity, vibration, and electromagnetic interference.
- Supports various industrial communication protocols such as EtherCAT.
- Wide operating temperature range.
- Strong electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), reducing sensitivity to external interference.
Industrial Communication:
- The EtherCAT network is a master‐slave structured network, where a segment can have one master and one or more slaves.
- Supports various topologies such as linear, star, and tree structures. It can use standard Ethernet cables or fiber op cs.
- High efficiency and short refresh cycles. EtherCAT slaves read, parse, and extract/process data frames entirely in hardware, making data frame processing unaffected by CPU performance or software implementation, resulting in minimal time delay and high real‐time performance.
- Excellent synchronization performance. EtherCAT uses high‐resolution distributed clocks to ensure synchronization accuracy between slave nodes to be less than 1 microsecond.
- Hot‐swap functionality: Slaves can be connected and removed while the network is in operation without affecting the functionality of other slaves.
